General Purpose –
A non-judgmental, listening space for BIPOC, LGBTQ, and Multicultural families to feel safe to express concerns, desires, hopes and needs.
Brainstorm ideas that can lead to bringing more BIPOC, LGBTQ, and Multicultural families, teachers, staff and board to the school.
Create opportunities in the school to hear information DIRECTLY from BIPOC, LGBTQ, and Multicultural sources about history, current affairs and future hopes.
Advise and inform the overall school marketing and curriculum to ensure more families are represented and to make it potentially more appealing to families, teachers, staff, and board who seek more diversity in the information our children are being taught.
Analyze the best of what Waldorf education has to offer, in terms of childhood development, focus on nature, and community philosophy, and incorporate those values into a vision that represents a broad spectrum of Unites States cultures.
Formalize consistent connections and communications with other international Waldorf schools.
A space to share educational materials to increase our ongoing collective knowledge.
Bring Multicultural music and dance performances into the school for all community members to learn from and enjoy.
