MSCS Board Committees

MSCS Committees are critically important resources for the management and operation of the school.  They provide both a way to distribute the workload needed to govern the school, and an opportunity for community awareness and involvement.  (And an excellent way for parents to satisfy their volunteer hours requirement.)  Committees are a way to focus attention and action on a particular topic, such as fundraising (Development Committee) and the future direction and well-being of the school (Futures Committee).

There are Board Committees and School Committees.  Board Committees directly support governing interests of the Board and report directly to the Board.  Some standing Board Committees are mandated by Colorado Education law (School Accountability Committee) and some committees are activated as needed (Charter Contract Renewal Committee).  School Committees support operational interests of the school and report to the ELT.  There are standing School Committees that serve an ongoing operational need (Safety Committee) and others that are formed to meet a unique and important need (Return To School Committee).

Links to each MSCS Committee are provided below.
