Bethany Meunier
I am a passionate advocate for Waldorf education and a dedicated member of the Mountain Song community. I was born and raised in the Tri-State New York area, where I met my wonderful husband while working with individuals with developmental disabilities. After an exciting honeymoon traveling across the country, we found our home in Colorado Springs in 2014, drawn to the beauty of the mountains. A year later, we welcomed our daughter Ary into the world, setting the stage for a journey that would lead us to Waldorf education.
When Ary was six months old, we traveled to Santa Fe to visit distant relatives, where we were introduced to the Waldorf pedagogy by a family member who was instrumental in bringing the Waldorf curriculum to New Mexico. After speaking with her and conducting my own research, I was convinced that Waldorf education was the right choice for our family. In 2019, we discovered Mountain Song, and in 2020, we were thrilled to become part of this amazing school community. Ary is now in 3rd grade, and each year, I feel more confident and inspired by our decision to choose Mountain Song.
Professionally, I have held several leadership roles, including Operations Manager and Marketing Manager, and I am currently a Senior Project Coordinator for one of the largest mechanical general contractors in the West. My background in project coordination, management, fundraising, and fostering communication allows me to contribute meaningfully to the growth of Mountain Song.
I look forward to serving on the school’s board and sharing my ideas to support Mountain Song’s mission. I am committed to upholding the values of the Waldorf method and helping the school navigate the evolving landscape of education. With a passion for community-building, bridging gaps, and initiating meaningful conversations, I strive to make a positive impact on the school’s continued success and growth.
