Health Forms
There are four main reasons for children to stay home:
1. The child could infect others because of symptoms or a diagnosed contagious illness, or public-health guidance requires the child to remain home following an exposure.
2. The child does not feel well enough to take part in usual activities. For example, a child is overly tired, fussy, or will not stop crying.
3. A child needs more care than teachers and staff can give while still caring for the other children.
4. The child has symptoms or an illness on this list, and staying home is required.
How sick is too sick?
PLEASE NOTE: Our health system states that anything that used in a medical way must be administered by the school nurse. Examples: cough drops, aspirin, creams, etc.
News from the Nurse
As we begin a new school year, please make sure your child’s health information, immunization records, care plans, and medication forms are current. Students who need medication during the school day must have the appropriate documentation on file with the school nurse.
Please also keep your child home if they have a fever of 100.4°F or higher, have vomited two or more times within 24 hours, are having difficulty breathing, or do not feel well enough to participate in normal school activities.
