I moved to Denver from Arkansas in 2006 and from Denver to Springs in 2009. I have fallen in love with Colorado, met my husband here and have made it my permanent home. I must have talked it up a lot because the majority of my family have moved here as well!
As soon as I became pregnant with my first I knew I wanted something different for my children's education and began researching my options right away. Once I found the Waldorf system and pedagogy I knew instantly it was what I wanted for them. Finding Mountain Song felt like a sure win.
In Arkansas growing up I played volleyball, basketball, ran track and captained the cheerleading squad. I was consistently put in leadership positions and excelled in teamwork and cooperation for a greater goal. I went on to play volleyball overseas in Australia and New Zealand as a sports ambassador for the U.S. The skills I learned during this time as well as during my education at the U of A for Early Childhood Education and Development have been invaluable to me throughout my life.
My parents became entrepreneurs when I turned twelve and while watching them grow a business as well as participate in just about every aspect of that business, I got the entrepreneurial bug. I am now a Life Coach and find immense joy in helping others transform their lives for the better.
I am grateful to have the opportunity to offer my skills to the board and very much look forward to serving in every way that I am able.
