Kim Butler, School Counselor

Kim earned her BA in English-Creative Writing at Western Michigan University.  She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Humanities and Leadership at New College of California.  After 20 years of working in leadership roles in senior care, she decided to pursue her long time dream of becoming a counselor by enrolling at Adams State University to earn her Master’s in School Counseling.  Kim is also working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.  Kim has a passion for helping children to feel calm, peaceful, and confident about who they are and is thrilled to finally be working her dream job.  When she isn’t working, Kim enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, hiking, reading and visiting her previous home of 12 years, Mendocino, CA.
